Distributors usually sell directly to retailers.
The normal progression and the one you are looking for is:
  1.        Manufacturer
  2.        Wholesaler or distributor
  3.        Retailer (you)
What is commonly called the middleman is something different and
looks like this:
  1.        Manufacturer
  2.        Wholesaler or Distributor
  3.        Middleman
  4.        Retailer
Most true wholesaler are hard to find and are not listed on the
internet. So how do you find them and eliminate the middleman?
Start by finding the product you want to sell. Then call the
manufacturer and ask for the sales department. They will likely tell
you they do not sell directly so ask for a recommendation of
wholesalers that carry the product.

On many of the products a small label on the package will also
carry the name of the distributor.
